Report of the project meeting in Seyssine-Pariset (France), from 17  to 23d  of April 2011


Host School: LYCÉE ARISTIDE BERGÈS, SEYSSINET-PARISET, FRANCE

1.      Objectives of the meeting:
1-To synthesize all the contents about exile and migrations dealt with  till  now
2-To  check and evaluate the two-year  work of students and teachers
3-To select materials for the final products .
4-To learn about the culture and history of the host country



2.     Description of the activities :
1- Watching the film “Welcome” and meetings with associations working with migrants : 2-Workshops : creative works (poetry, shorts stories, drawings…)  and evaluation questionnaires
3-Selection of all the materials for the final products and creation of  a web page and CDrom
4-Guided tours and excursion in Lyon and Grenoble.
3.     Evaluation of the meeting:
1-The film raised a large interest of the students, which developed into further questions and discussions.
2-Starting from the previous activities and discussions, the students produced their creative products in mixed pairs or groups. The answers given by the students show that they have increased their knowledge about migrations, they have learned to respect other cultures, they gained a better understanding of  migration issues. The students  appreciated the opportunity the project gave them  to meet their foreign fellows to start new  relationships and to make new friends.
As regard the teachers, despite of some  misunderstandings due to the use of a foreign language and different cultures, they all agree that the project has achieved all its goals with satisfaction.
3 and 4-The coordinators agree that during the two-year project a lot of research and materials have been produced  by all the countries
4.      Dissemination:
The results of the project meeting will be disseminated through:
. the blog (online journal of the project);
 . announcement to the local media in all the countries
. on the web page of  all schools
. presentation of the results of the meeting in the  school communities througth exhibitions of pictures and comments written by the students

5.     Conclusion:
Also in this last meeting, the students have shown interest in the planned activities and have successfully completed their work. The teachers have appreciated the students ‘outcomes and the organization of the meeting in the host country, France.


6.      Establishing of the activities that will take place until end of June 2011:

All the countries will give their contribution to the French team in order to complete the website. The coordinators of all countries will complete their work by evaluating the impact of the project on students, teachers and school community. They will also complete all the documents that will be sent to the national agencies.
This way the project will be concluded.
